Howdy!
I am looking for a team to assistant coach around the Nashville or surrounding areas for the summer. I am more than happy to work with any age group. Currently, I am living in Murfreesboro, TN for the summer while I intern at National Pro Fastpitch. However, my internship with NPF is unpaid, so my hope is to earn a little compensation if possible. I won't ask for much, and am definitely willing to negotiate if the opportunity arises!
A little bit about me,
I am 21 years old, originally from College Station, TX where I graduated from High School. During my first two years of collegiate softball, I played at the University of Minnesota, Crookston which is an NCAA Division II institution. After my Sophomore year, I transferred to Saint Gregory's University which is an NAIA institution located in good ole Shawnee, Oklahoma. I just completed my junior year of college and am looking forward to graduating next Spring!
As far as softball goes, I am a Catcher/Infielder. During my time in Minnesota, I was the starting catcher and hit for an average of about .270 while leading the team in RBIs. At Saint Gregory's, I primarily played as a pinch hitter and helped my team advance all the way to the NAIA World Series this past May where we placed 5th in the nation overall. I am looking forward to (hopefully) another winning season with my team next year!
I would love the opportunity to mentor and teach those who love the game as much as I do. It's not just about winning and losing, it's about the life lessons you learn and the memories that will carry with you throughout a lifetime. It is important for young girls to understand that no matter what level of college ball they decide to play at, it requires a tremendous amount of hard work, discipline and dedication- but most of all, it's about having fun!
